The role involves overseeing control systems technicians and leads, working with various teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems, and ensuring maximum operational efficiency. Responsibilities For Control Systems Engineer Manager
- Coordinate and plan work activities for Control Systems Techs/Leads
- Work with Operations, Engineering, FC Start up Team, and Safety teams
- Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
- Monitor MHE metrics and analyze system performance
- Provide first level escalation support
- Mentor Control System Technicians and Leads
- Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
- Plan and coordinate new technology installations
- Communicate technical issues and project timelines
- Travel up to 20% post-launch and 50% pre-launch
Requirements For Control Systems Engineer Manager
- Bachelor's Degree or +2 years of Amazon Blue Badge/FTE experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience with electrical theory, Robotics, Controls components, automated equipment
- Experience with HMI and control network components
- Industrial electrical hands-on experience
- Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs
- Familiarity with programming software like RSLogix5000 studio
- Leadership and management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills
