Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation.

The Data Center Global Services team is seeking exceptional individuals to join our Implementation, Controls organization as Controls Engineer for Construction (BMS/EPMS), responsible for the building automation systems within Amazon data centers. The ideal candidate will have a project/construction management, mechanical, electrical, or technology background, enabling them to tackle challenges of sophisticated controls platforms and align building controls and automation with larger business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, and industrial HVAC
  • Managing project scope and engineering relative to site specifics and customer needs
  • Developing control panel BOMs, ISA data sheets, and various drawings
  • Performing inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems
  • Coordinating project work internally and externally to ensure on-time completion within budget
  • Deploying and maintaining BMS (Building Management System) & EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring System) in AWS leased/colocation data centers
  • Collaborating with AWS DCEO (Data Center Engineering Operations) teams for new builds and upgrades

The Central EU Controls team deploys controls solutions across clusters in ZAZ, CDG, MxP, and ZRH. Team members collaborate on EMEA region-wide initiatives and may travel to other clusters for support and training needs.

AWS values diverse experiences and work-life harmony. We offer an inclusive team culture, ongoing learning experiences, and mentorship opportunities for career growth.

Join us to be part of a team that's working on the most challenging problems in cloud infrastructure and help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
