Description For Data Engineer, RACE Anaplan Team

Amazon Web Services (AWS), World-Wide Public Sector Reporting and Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer with broad technical skills to help build the infrastructure and tools required to support our Anaplan Forecasting and Planning tools team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing big data systems, redefining best practices with a cloud-based approach to scalability and automation, and building robust data pipelines for production level systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Anaplan dev team and owning data pipelines
  • Designing and coding data solutions using Amazon Redshift
  • Creating technical design documentation
  • Implementing data structures for business intelligence analytics
  • Evaluating dataset implementations and mentoring junior data engineers
  • Managing AWS resources and exploring new AWS technologies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Preferred experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles

The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year to $205,600/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package and total compensation approach, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
