Embedded Software Engineer, AWS Solutions

As part of the AWS Solutions organization, we are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to help provide business applications that leverage Amazon's unique experience and expertise. This role is critical in delivering intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges for millions of companies worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as technical lead for embedded systems throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Designing and implementing robust digital designs for various embedded devices
• Performing board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting
• Contributing to IoT firmware architecture through writing and debugging production-grade firmware
• Conceiving and executing comprehensive design validation tests
• Partnering with vendors on component delivery
• Traveling to supplier and manufacturer sites (10-20%)

The role is part of the Just Walk Out Technology team, which enables checkout-free shopping experiences through computer vision, sensor fusion, and advanced machine learning. The technology automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to shelves and tracks them in a virtual cart.
