Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As an FPGA Verification Engineer on the Kuiper Production team, you'll play a crucial role in verifying FPGA solutions that are integral to the satellite communication system. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology with minimal legacy constraints.
You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining verification environments and test suites for FPGA-based subsystems. Working closely with design and systems teams, you'll define, develop, implement, and test UVM environments to verify FPGA solutions. The role focuses on verifying digital designs for networking functions using cutting-edge simulation-based verification processes and tools.
The position requires expertise in FPGA/ASIC design verification, with a strong background in SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches. You'll be developing constrained-random test plans, analyzing coverage metrics, and creating reusable Verification IP. As a senior member of the team, you'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in the office, with locations in either Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA. Due to export control regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee/asylee status.
