Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network initiative, aimed at delivering fast, reliable internet globally. This role focuses on designing and implementing standardized test equipment for manufacturing facilities.
As an Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer, you'll work with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize manufacturing test infrastructure. Key responsibilities include conducting complex system-level analyses, driving technical strategy, and implementing processes for effective communication between partner teams.
The position requires expertise in embedded systems, test equipment configuration, and project management. You'll lead technical risk assessments, establish test strategies, and optimize test system design while balancing performance, schedule, cost, and scalability requirements.

Responsibilities For Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer, Manufacturing Test Equipment Standardization, Project Kuiper
- Lead and conduct complex system-level analyses across multiple subsystems
- Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for test systems
- Develop and implement processes for system design/architecture communication
- Lead technical risk assessments and failure mode identification
- Derive and synthesize requirements for system efficiency
- Conduct trade space studies to optimize test system design
Requirements For Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer, Manufacturing Test Equipment Standardization, Project Kuiper
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable industry experience
- 2+ years of non-internship professional experience in IT, automated test equipment (ATE) or embedded systems support
- 2+ years experience in project management skills
- Experience with embedded system test rack configuration, integration and optimization
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and validation processes
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee/asylee due to export control laws
