Job Description

Project Kuiper, Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, is seeking a Senior Test Systems Engineer to lead test optimization initiatives for satellite component testing. This role combines systems engineering expertise with test automation to enhance both speed and quality in satellite production.

The position involves working at the intersection of hardware and software, focusing on establishing robust requirements management processes and ensuring traceability across all production test stages. You'll be responsible for coordinating test system requirements while optimizing efficiency without compromising quality standards.

As the technical lead for test systems optimization, you'll drive requirements-based decisions through data analysis and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to enhance testing methodologies. The role is crucial in reducing test cycle times, optimizing test sequences, and improving overall testing efficiency while maintaining rigorous quality standards for satellite production.

Key responsibilities include leading complex system-level analyses, managing end-to-end test mapping across production stages, and implementing data analytics frameworks for test result analysis. You'll work with various teams including Load and Dynamics, Manufacturing, and Labs engineering to establish Environmental Stress Screening processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test systems automation or systems engineering, with a strong background in requirements management and verification & validation. Knowledge of programming languages and data analysis tools is essential, as is experience with environmental test chambers testing.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $136,100 to $235,200 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. The role is based in Bellevue, WA, and requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control regulations.
