Join Amazon MGM Studios' Production Technology Engineering team as a Production Workflow Engineer, where you'll shape the future of movies and television through Prime Video, one of the world's leading digital video services. This role focuses on driving the adoption of cloud-based production and post-production workflows through the Studio's Backlot: Create platform.

As a Production Workflow Engineer, you'll be at the intersection of creative content production and cloud technology, working with a diverse range of stakeholders from production companies to internal teams. You'll be responsible for implementing and optimizing workflows for dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, and remote production processes.

The role combines technical expertise with industry knowledge, requiring familiarity with both cloud infrastructure and media production tools like Avid Media Composer and Blackmagic Resolve. You'll work within Prime Video's technology teams, contributing to creating a best-in-class digital video experience while having the opportunity to experiment with new possibilities and take calculated risks.

Responsibilities For Production Workflow Engineer, Production Technology Engineering

  • Drive adoption of AMS Backlot: Create cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production)
  • Educate customers, internal partners, and third party production companies about Studio's Backlot workflows
  • Work with vendors to validate workflows and integrate local workflow with the cloud
  • Build and deploy Backlot: Create workflows
  • Act as primary contact for internal stakeholders and end-customers
  • Gather and communicate requirements and issues to product and engineering team
  • Lead engagements with management and post leadership at partner production companies

Requirements For Production Workflow Engineer, Production Technology Engineering

Linux
  • Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
  • Experience within specific technology domain areas (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering)
  • Production technology and media/entertainment experience
  • Knowledge of content creation tools like Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS Blackmagic Resolve, Colorfront
  • Experience with AWS technologies (preferred)
  • Business proficiency in Spanish and/or French (preferred)
