Description For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, AMZL

Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence across their global fulfillment network. As an RME Technician, you'll be part of a technically-minded team responsible for keeping vital machinery running efficiently and safely. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic maintenance planning, offering opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology including Amazon Robotics and Complex Item Sorter systems.

You'll be based on-site to provide quick response to machinery issues, conducting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. The position requires working various shifts to ensure 24/7 support of Amazon's operations. You'll collaborate with senior colleagues, manage day-to-day maintenance tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers significant growth opportunities within both the RME team and broader Amazon organization. Responsibilities For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, AMZL

  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in distribution warehouse
  • Use latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Uphold health and safety policies and practices
  • Support development and progression of on-site apprentices
  • Work on continuous improvement projects
  • Implement best practices across EU sites
  • Respond to breakdowns and implement solutions quickly
  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks including painting and plumbing
  • Liaise with contractors for external expertise

Requirements For Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, AMZL

  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to minimum NVQ level 3
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
