  • Architect extensible & intuitive frameworks for running quantum computing experiments and analyzing data
  • Optimize the performance of instrument server and transpiler
  • Collaborate with scientists to implement hardware-level recalibration and quantum error correction techniques
  • Profile and improve the performance of experiment & analysis tools
  • Leverage automation and observability to monitor control hardware systems
  • Empower scientists to actively contribute to the codebase through mentorship and documentation

Requirements For Research Software Engineer, Control & Calibration, AWS Center for Quantum Computing

Python
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
  • 2+ years of Python software development experience
  • Experience working with scientists in a research environment
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience with commercial/academic quantum control systems, RFSoC development platforms, or laboratory test equipment
