Robotics Systems Engineer II, Amazon Robotics Deployment Engineering

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to join their deployment team in a crucial role overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of robotics equipment in fulfillment centers. This field engineering position requires strong technical expertise in deploying robotic equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, network configuration, and software system coordination.

The ideal candidate will have experience with complex electro-mechanical and network systems, demonstrating leadership in installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Working with teams of 1-5 engineers and collaborating with on-site project managers, you'll provide technical oversight for both Amazon-designed and third-party robotics equipment installations.

The role demands extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including third-party installers, contracted engineers, construction teams, hardware/software teams, IT, and other partners. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll interact with both internal and external partners. As an Amazonian, you'll need to show initiative in identifying and solving real-time deployment problems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This leadership position within the on-site deployment teams requires a proven track record of successfully leading work scopes and making effective decisions. You'll be involved in various phases of the product lifecycle, including developing process documentation and modifying existing processes. The position requires 75% travel across the US, with international opportunities available.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $94,000 to $207,900 per year depending on location, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, parental leave, and 401(k).
