Job Description

AWS Global Services Security is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Customer Incident Response Team (CIRT). This role combines hands-on security engineering with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on protecting cloud environments at a planetary scale. The position involves threat detection, incident response, and security automation using AWS technologies.

The ideal candidate will work on monitoring networks and systems for threats, performing security alert triage, and implementing automated security solutions. They'll collaborate with AWS service teams on new features and help customers build robust security capabilities. The role requires strong technical security knowledge, understanding of common threats, and experience with scripting languages.

Key responsibilities include performing incident response operations, designing security automation solutions, and serving as a technical resource for customers during security events. The position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge cloud security technologies and contribute to protecting AWS customers globally.

The role is part of AWS Global Services, which includes experts helping customers design, build, operate, and secure cloud environments. Team members work with AWS Professional Services, Training and Certification, Support, Managed Services, and Security Assurance Services.
