Join Amazon's elite Device Security Incident Response team protecting millions of homes and families. This senior role focuses on defending Ring, Blink, eero, and other IoT platforms through incident response and security engineering. You'll be responsible for protecting customer safety and privacy across Amazon's device ecosystem.
As a Senior Incident Response Engineer, you'll lead investigations and responses to security incidents, coordinate technical responses while managing stakeholder communications, and drive security improvements across products and services. The role requires expertise in security operations, incident response, and detection engineering, with opportunities to leverage AI/ML for automation.

Responsibilities For Senior Incident Response Engineer, Devices & Services Security
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in the Devices and Services org
- Act as an incident responder or commander during active security events
- Conduct thorough post-mortem analysis of security incidents
- Security consults with builder teams
- Develop, maintain, and respond to detections using Splunk/SOAR
- Combat various forms of fraud and abuse
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Coordinate response efforts with other Incident Response teams
Requirements For Senior Incident Response Engineer, Devices & Services Security
- 5+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity
- Working knowledge of AWS, WAF, EDR/XDR tools, network telemetry, and log analysis
- Practical knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
