Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer Intern for their Device team in Shanghai. This is an exciting opportunity for students graduating between October 2025 and September 2026 to join Amazon's innovative device development team. The internship requires 4-5 days per week commitment for at least 3 months, starting before June 2025.

The role focuses on embedded systems development and innovation in Amazon's device ecosystem. Interns will work on cutting-edge technologies that impact millions of users worldwide, participating in rapid development cycles that typically operate on a weekly basis rather than yearly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science or related fields, with experience in Linux environments and embedded development. They should be proficient in C/C++ programming and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. The position offers exposure to large-scale complex systems and the opportunity to work on projects that drive industry development.

Preferred candidates will have experience in image/video analysis and coding, multimedia content understanding, computer vision, machine learning (particularly with TensorFlow Lite), and embedded platform optimization. Knowledge of software architecture design and experience with large complex systems is a plus.
