As a Software Development Engineer in the AWS Edge Connectivity team, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing sophisticated network security solutions that enable secure access to AWS's dedicated cloud environments. The role involves building scalable distributed systems that manage encrypted network connections, working with various networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, and IPSec.
The position requires a strong background in software development with at least 3 years of professional experience and 2 years of system design experience. You'll need to understand network encryption technologies and be able to work with Layer2/3 encryption protocols. The role requires obtaining and maintaining a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
The team operates in an Agile environment with daily stand-ups and regular sprint planning sessions. You'll participate in an on-call rotation approximately four times per year to maintain service availability.
