Job Description

Amazon's Fire TV & Tablets team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work on their tablet software platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on both device-side and service-side development, focusing on revenue-impacting customer-facing components using Android, the world's most widely used Operating System.

The position involves working in an Agile/Scrum environment, where you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining key system features. You'll collaborate with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility. The role requires establishing architectural principles and mentoring team members on their application.

Your daily activities will include working on web lab experiments, engineering enhancements, bug fixes, and operational excellence work using Android OS, Kotlin, and Java programming languages. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team with strong collaboration between Developers and QA.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers interested in mobile development, particularly in the Android ecosystem, who want to make a significant impact on products used by millions of customers worldwide. The role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technology while being part of Amazon's innovative culture.

The ideal candidate should have strong software development experience, familiarity with mobile development, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
