Amazon Lab126, established in 2004 as an Amazon.com subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their Connectivity team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking consumer electronics, including the Kindle family, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo devices.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing connectivity solutions for Amazon's diverse product lineup. Your work will span vertically from application level to low-level wireless controller algorithms, and horizontally across all Amazon digital devices. The position offers a unique blend of technical challenge and product impact in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

The Connectivity team is responsible for designing software solutions that power Amazon's entire device ecosystem. You'll be working with Bluetooth protocol stack software and other components on Android and embedded platforms, creating innovative solutions that directly impact millions of customers worldwide.

This is a high-visibility role where you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive and design innovative consumer products

  • Design and implement Bluetooth protocol stack software on Android and embedded platforms
  • Work on application, device framework, proprietary connectivity stack, drivers and low level wireless controller algorithms

Requirements For Sr Embedded Software Engineer, Amazon Devices - Connectivity SW

Linux
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
