Description For Sr. Hardware Development Engineer, Avionics Electrical Engineering

Join Amazon's ambitious Project Kuiper initiative, where innovation meets impact in the space technology sector. As a Sr. Hardware Development Engineer specializing in Avionics Electrical Engineering, you'll be at the forefront of launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites designed to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

The role combines cutting-edge hardware development with meaningful social impact, offering an opportunity to work on problems that haven't been solved at scale before. You'll be part of a team developing satellite bus systems, working from initial design through testing, integration, verification, and operation on-orbit.

Your responsibilities will span the entire product lifecycle, from PCBA design and validation to production support and on-orbit operations. You'll work with state-of-the-art technology, including high-speed interconnects, radiation-tolerant hardware, and complex avionics systems. The position requires expertise in hardware/software development, particularly in areas such as microprocessors, FPGAs, and power supplies.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $128,600 to $213,600 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits. You'll collaborate with top-tier engineers across multiple spacecraft design teams, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, challenging environment and wants to make a positive impact on millions of people's lives.

This position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control regulations, reflecting the critical nature of the technology being developed. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is common and innovation is essential, making it perfect for problem-solvers who want to push the boundaries of what's possible in satellite technology.
