Sr Software Development Engineer, AFT External Fulfillment

The Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT) team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their External Fulfillment initiative. AFT powers Amazon's global fulfillment network, responsible for enabling the fulfillment of millions of items daily across the globe. This role focuses on making the AFT Warehouse Management System more accessible and flexible for emerging markets and businesses.

The position offers exciting architectural challenges in managing large volumes of constantly changing data, complex event processing, and building scalable systems that support 10s of millions of business operations daily across thousands of Fulfillment Centers. You'll be working on innovative solutions that manage Amazon's external fulfillment network, requiring expertise in building large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software solutions.

As a Senior SDE, you'll have the opportunity to think big, invent, and simplify complex problems while influencing other engineers and tech partners. The role involves significant technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and owning end-to-end key initiatives. You'll be working with Amazon's fulfillment technologies team, which harmonizes physical and virtual worlds to ensure customers get what they want, when they want it.

The compensation is competitive, ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), and parental leave.
