Sr. Software Development Engineer, RDS Aurora MySQL Engine

Amazon Aurora is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their RDS Aurora MySQL Engine team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to revolutionize cloud database services and make a direct impact on hundreds of thousands of AWS users.

As part of AWS's Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll work on MySQL-compatible database engines that combine high-end commercial database performance with open source cost-effectiveness. Aurora provides up to 5x better performance than MySQL at 1/10th the cost of commercial databases.

You'll be instrumental in architecting, designing, and implementing highly scalable distributed database systems with strong availability, reliability, and performance guarantees. This hands-on position involves both building highly distributed components and mentoring other engineers.
