As a Senior Software Engineer in Device OS, you'll be instrumental in implementing graphics-related features for Amazon devices. This role demands expertise in Linux Kernel/drivers and Graphics systems, including Wayland, Weston, and Mesa. You'll collaborate with hardware and QA teams to transform concepts into customer-ready products while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year, depending on location and experience. Responsibilities For Sr. Software Engineer, Graphics and Display

  • Create innovative new products used by millions of users
  • Perform new SoCs platform bring up and develop/enable graphics features
  • Develop applications, extend features, and create new benchmarks for performance evaluation
  • Drive vendor requirements on future CPU, GPU, and Display Controller technology
  • Perform technical deep dives with key IP and SoC vendors
  • Hands-on development of features from application layer down to kernel and HW in graphics domain

Requirements For Sr. Software Engineer, Graphics and Display

Linux
  • 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
  • 6+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Expertise working with Linux Kernel/drivers and Graphics including Wayland, Weston, Mesa
