Sr. System Development Engineer, Infrastructure, Kuiper Enterprise Technology

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to create a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, aimed at bridging the digital divide by providing fast, affordable internet access globally. As a Senior System Development Engineer within Kuiper's enterprise technology team, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing automation solutions that enable Kuiper's infrastructure scaling across global manufacturing, launch, and operations facilities.

The role combines infrastructure engineering with software development expertise, focusing on creating tools and platforms that enhance deployment efficiency, reliability, and monitoring capabilities. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll collaborate with TPMs, PM-Ts, and System Engineers to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions that support Kuiper's ambitious scaling plans.

Your responsibilities will span from developing automation solutions for Windows and Linux infrastructure to implementing CI/CD pipelines and creating self-healing capabilities for critical systems. The position requires strong technical skills, particularly in Python programming and infrastructure-as-code tools, along with the ability to work effectively in both Windows and Linux environments.

The team operates with a builder mindset, emphasizing frugality through automation and AI integration. You'll be part of a critical enterprise infrastructure team that enables Kuiper's business operations across manufacturing, launch, and operations. This position includes competitive compensation with a base pay range of $136,100 to $235,200 per year, depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits. The role requires U.S. citizenship due to export control requirements and involves up to 50% travel both domestically and internationally.
