Job Description

Amazon Payment Services is seeking a Support Engineer to join their team in developing next-generation payment products for MENA's fastest-growing e-commerce platform. This role combines technical support and development responsibilities, focusing on building and maintaining payment processing infrastructure across the GCC & Levant countries.

The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS technology and contribute to a trusted, secure payment network that enables safe online shopping across Arabic-speaking countries. You'll be part of a team that builds trust between buyers and online sellers by implementing secure payment solutions and supporting various global payment methods.

As a Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing infrastructure across multiple AWS regions, developing automation solutions, and implementing monitoring tools. The role requires both technical expertise in modern programming languages and strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting complex systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with web services, distributed systems, and RAID systems maintenance. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment, solving complex technical problems and delivering innovative solutions that impact millions of Amazon customers.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of technical professionals in Amazon Payment Services, which operates across major markets including UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, and Qatar. Responsibilities For Support Engineer, Amazon Payment Services

  • Use AWS technology to manage infrastructure and services in multiple AWS regions
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Develop and maintain automation, orchestration, and playbooks/scenarios
  • Design and implement tools for engineering and customer service teams
  • Design and implement solutions to monitor service health and perform log analysis
  • Research and recommend innovative automated approaches for DevOps

Requirements For Support Engineer, Amazon Payment Services

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
