Description For Support Engineer II

Amazon's India Machine Learning (IML) team is seeking a Support Engineer II to join their dynamic organization. This role is integral to maintaining and supporting state-of-the-art machine learning tools, frameworks, and services used by multiple teams worldwide. As a Support Engineer, you'll be the first line of defense in handling operational excellence tasks, troubleshooting service issues, and implementing automation solutions.

  • Provide support for incoming tickets including extensive troubleshooting tasks
  • Debug service issues and update SOPs
  • Work with AWS services like Lambda, SNS, S3, EC2, Cloudwatch
  • Write automation scripts for common issues
  • Handle production deployment and sanity checks
  • Develop tools for operations and maintenance
  • System and support status reporting
  • Customer notification and coordination with service teams
  • Maintain high customer service experience for IML products and services

Requirements For Support Engineer II

  • 2+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in Unix/Linux OS and shell commands
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, Cloudwatch)
  • SQL querying skills with PostgreSQL
  • Version control systems knowledge (Git)
