Description For Support Engineer - Incident Management, AWS Incident Response (AIR)

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the core of Amazon Web Services' global infrastructure, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS data centers worldwide. The AWS Incident Response (AIR) team plays a crucial role in maintaining AWS's high availability by managing large-scale events and incidents. As a Support Engineer on the AIR team, you'll be working to reduce the duration, frequency, and impact of issues within AWS and Amazon infrastructure.

The role combines technical troubleshooting with leadership in incident management, requiring you to direct resolution of high-visibility incidents by leading conference calls and coordinating teams globally. You'll have the opportunity to mentor others and help them develop their incident management skills. The position involves analyzing data to identify trends and driving projects to prevent or minimize future incidents.

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
