System Development Engineer, Commerce Platform

The ADC Commerce Platform team is looking for a System Development Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement. The Ateam owns and operates some of the most impactful services in AWS and we are looking for someone to help us to continue to drive improvements and optimizations though automation and process optimization. Our systems development engineers work in a fast-paced environment across many disciplines, collaborating with other AWS teams to deliver cutting-edge services for our customers. Our team members own the scaling and management of services across AWS regions supporting the US Government.

The ideal candidate is passionate about development and operations, and have a strong desire to learn about drive continual improvements throughout Amazon's development lifecycle. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

About the team:

• AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations.
• As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
