Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a System Development Engineer for their STRADA team focusing on Service Transformation and Deployment Automation. This role is critical in maintaining and improving the systems that support AWS's vast network infrastructure. The position requires expertise in Linux/Unix administration, automation, and development skills in languages like Python, Ruby, or Java. The role involves working with US Government cloud infrastructure, requiring TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining network tools and systems within US GovCloud and other government air-gapped regions. This includes system troubleshooting, deployment of new versions, validation testing, and service monitoring. The role requires both independent work and collaboration with various software development teams.

AWS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 based on location, plus medical benefits and opportunities for career growth. The position supports AWS's mission of providing reliable cloud infrastructure to over a million customers globally.

The role combines systems administration with development work, requiring someone who can think at "Amazon scale" and implement sustainable, scalable solutions. You'll be part of a team that manages hundreds of tools and services that network engineers rely on to keep AWS operational. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working with cutting-edge cloud technology while supporting critical government infrastructure.
