Job Description

Join AWS's world-class Database and Analytics team as a Systems Development Engineer in a true DevOps role. You'll help implement innovative cloud computing solutions and work on Amazon's largest distributed systems. This position is with the AWS Utility Computing (UC) team, which provides foundational services like S3 and EC2, along with continuous product innovations.

The role requires both development and operations expertise, with a focus on following problems to completion and implementing real solutions. You'll work with massive-scale services including Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, EMR, RDS, and Redshift that form critical infrastructure for the internet.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Coding in Python, Java, Ruby, or TypeScript
  • Working with large-scale, geographically diverse systems
  • Implementing security best practices
  • Supporting AWS's database and analytics services
  • Collaborating with top engineers and technical managers
