Description For Systems Development Engineer, AWS Hardware Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Systems Development Engineer in the Fleet Automation Software Team (FAST) within Hardware Engineering Services, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining services, systems and operational infrastructure that enable delivery of hardware and firmware to AWS data centers globally.

You will collaborate with cross-functional product vertical and firmware development teams to solve challenging technical problems and drive system designs that shape the future of infrastructure. Your role involves standing up operational infrastructure to manage services and systems at scale across multiple geographical regions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and scaling hardware and firmware deployment orchestration systems
  • Contributing to the seamless delivery of low-level software/firmware
  • Working directly with engineers to launch next-generation AWS platforms
