This role is part of the AWS Managed Operations team, focusing on building and leading operations for high-availability AWS services specifically for EU customers. The position involves working with core AWS services including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.
As a Systems Engineer in the Managed Operations team, you'll be at the forefront of launching the ESC in 2025. Your role combines technical expertise with operational excellence, requiring collaboration with global AWS teams and direct influence on AWS service evolution. Daily responsibilities include working with technology leaders, improving operations, and optimizing service metrics across availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
The role is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which drives product innovations from foundational services like S3 and EC2 to cutting-edge features. You'll be supporting various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps. The position requires EU residency and participation in on-call rotations.
