Staff Product Engineer, AI Agents

Amplitude, a leading digital analytics platform valued at $300M+ ARR, is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to join their AI team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI interfaces and user experiences at scale.

The role sits at the intersection of frontend engineering and AI, focusing on creating intuitive, responsive interfaces for AI-powered products. You'll be part of a small, focused team working across the entire LLM stack - from prompt design to infrastructure to customer-facing UX. The team operates with high autonomy and minimal bureaucracy, prioritizing quality and learning over rapid iteration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning end-to-end feature development from system design to pixel-perfect implementation
• Building thoughtful UI components that effectively interact with LLM systems
• Collaborating across functions (backend, product, design) to rapidly prototype and iterate
• Establishing best practices for AI UX, including prompting, feedback loops, and error handling
• Maintaining high quality standards while moving quickly
