Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to serve as Product Owner for their Software Development Kit (SDK) supporting their advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) portfolio. This strategic role involves leading ADI's CodeFusion Studio SDK development, ensuring exceptional developer experience and alignment with silicon strategy.
The position combines technical leadership with product ownership, requiring deep expertise in embedded systems and SDK development. You'll be responsible for driving the roadmap, architecture, and delivery of critical software components that enable developers to effectively utilize ADI's semiconductor solutions.
As the Product Owner, you'll work at the intersection of technical development and business strategy, collaborating with multiple stakeholders including silicon teams, tools teams, business units, and external customers. The role requires strong technical background in embedded software, experience with modern development practices, and excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of embedded software development experience, with demonstrated success in product ownership or technical leadership roles. You'll need deep understanding of SoC architectures, device drivers, RTOS/Linux environments, and modern development toolchains. Experience with security software and open source communities is a plus.

Responsibilities For Principal Embedded Software Engineer - Product Owner Software Development Kit
- Serve as the strategic and technical Product Owner for ADI's SDK within the cross-platform CodeFusion Studio environment
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, feature backlog, and release plans aligned with SoC platform lifecycles
- Gather and synthesize requirements from internal stakeholders and external customers
- Define and prioritize SDK components including drivers, HALs, board support packages, middleware, and integration frameworks
- Collaborate with embedded software engineering teams for SDK feature delivery
- Interface with DevOps, CI/CD, and quality assurance teams
- Work with SDK team, field application engineers, product marketing, and business units
- Drive customer documentation, training materials, and ecosystem enablement
- Contribute to product strategy discussions and architectural decisions
Requirements For Principal Embedded Software Engineer - Product Owner Software Development Kit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience
- Strong understanding of SoC architectures and SDK design principles
- Proven track record in product ownership, technical leadership, or software product strategy roles
- Strong understanding of device drivers, RTOS/Linux, bare-metal development, and toolchain integration
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking systems, and modern Agile/Scrum practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to translate technical feedback into actionable requirements
