Job Description

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to join their maritime division, focusing on next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). This role is central to developing and integrating critical systems for their Dive-XL and Dive-LD platforms, requiring expertise across the entire robotics software stack.

The position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of defense technology, developing advanced autonomous systems that directly impact U.S. and allied military capabilities. You'll be responsible for architecting and delivering crucial systems for ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platforms, working with cutting-edge technology in robotics and autonomous systems.

As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you'll work on challenging problems in perception, motion planning, state estimation, and autonomy. The role involves writing production-quality code primarily in Rust and C++, integrating various sensors, and ensuring optimal performance of deployed systems. You'll be part of a team executing multi-million-dollar contracts while performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of professional programming experience, strong engineering background, and expertise in robotics systems. You'll need to be comfortable with Linux development environments, embedded systems, and common robotics interfaces. The role requires eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance and may involve up to 15% travel for field deployment and testing.

Anduril offers a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $168,000-$252,000, comprehensive benefits including platinum healthcare, generous PTO, and equity grants. The company culture emphasizes innovation, technical excellence, and direct impact on real-world defense capabilities. Join a team that's revolutionizing the defense industry by bringing Silicon Valley's expertise to critical national security challenges.
