Job Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior ATAK Engineer to join their Electronic Warfare team, focusing on developing sophisticated Android-based tactical interfaces through the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) ecosystem. This role combines cutting-edge mobile development with critical defense technology applications, requiring expertise in Android development, real-time systems, and user interface design.
The position involves architecting and building user interface applications that enable tactical control of electronic warfare assets, working with real-time data visualization, sensor integration, and complex system controls. You'll be working with a diverse team of engineers and directly engaging with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet tactical requirements.
As a Senior ATAK Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing APIs for network communications, real-time telemetry, and asset configuration. The role requires proficiency in modern Android technologies like Jetpack Compose, along with experience in high-performance backend technologies. You'll work closely with the TAK Product Centers' developer community and collaborate with engineers using various full-stack technologies.

Responsibilities For Sr. ATAK Engineer
- Design, build, test, and deploy real-time, map-based user interfaces for displaying and interacting with sensor data
- Define and implement APIs for network communications, real-time telemetry, asset configuration
- Help define foundational software architectures, visual designs, and user experience workflows
- Work directly with Android frontend technologies and high-performance backend technologies
- Test and evaluate software using simulations, benchtop hardware, and live flight assets
Requirements For Sr. ATAK Engineer
- Experience developing software for user interface applications
- Proficiency with modern Android programming languages including Jetpack Compose, XML, Java, and Kotlin
- Familiarity with client/server networking technologies
- Proven ability to empathize with users and break down user needs into software features
- Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
