Esri ArcGIS Developer

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a technical GIS developer to join their Enterprise GIS Team within the Office of IT Applications. This role focuses on configuring and developing custom Esri ArcGIS Enterprise applications that integrate with SharePoint, various databases, and enterprise reporting systems. The position involves working with a team of 2 ArcGIS developers, 2 System Administrators, a data manager, and team leader, supporting over 180 ArcGIS Desktop users and approximately 60,000 annual ArcGIS Server web visits. The role requires expertise in GIS development, particularly with Esri technologies, and involves creating solutions for portal, feature mapping, project planning, emergency operations, permitting, safety, and traffic records. While initially contracted through the fiscal year, there's potential for long-term tenure with annual renewals. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, though local candidates are preferred, and includes the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that impact state transportation infrastructure.
