Our Business Technology team is looking for a Senior Information Technology Engineer who is customer oriented, analytical, and has an interest in partnering with our software development organization on their infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy aligned with IT goals and security requirements.
  • Ensure patches are tested for functionality, compatibility, and potential conflicts with existing infrastructure & applications.
  • Collaborate with Business Technology teams and Information Security teams to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize patches based on risk assessments.
  • Implement vulnerability scanning tools and processes to proactively identify potential security gaps.
  • Build, administer and support Windows, and Macintosh desktop administration
  • Enhance overall system security, performance and availability
  • Provide on-call resolution for mission critical issues and document solutions within the case management system
  • Respond to and resolve emergent problems across our diverse enterprise systems, from the physical layer to the application layer
  • Utilize best practices based on various frameworks (e.g. ITIL, ISO, SOC, PCI) and support internal and external audit activities
  • Collaborate with team of fellow tech gurus and play an integral part of our overall systems design, architecture and administration
  • Plan and lead projects related to the review and selection of various systems and applications software
  • Maintain and upgrade inventory records
  • Assist in the maintenance of Appian's IT network and server infrastructure
