Apple is seeking an AIML Data Scientist for their Data and ML Innovation team within the Machine Learning and AI department. This role is part of the Search Analytics team, which aims to inform product and methodology evolution through measurement, evaluation, and analysis of user experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and developing evaluation methods to improve Apple's user-facing products
- Working with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems
- Conducting analysis involving data collection, quality control, requirements specification, processing, and presentations
- Building and prototyping analysis pipelines and visualizations
- Developing comprehensive knowledge of product data structures and metrics
- Partnering with product engineering teams on core machine learning algorithms and user experience evaluations

- Research and develop evaluation methods to improve product quality
- Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems
- Conduct analysis including data collection, quality control, and processing
- Build and prototype analysis pipelines and visualizations
- Develop knowledge of product data structures and metrics
- Partner with product engineering teams on machine learning algorithms and user experience evaluations
Requirements For AIML - Data Scientist, Data and ML Innovation
- Experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics, including statistical data analysis and A/B testing
- Using Foundation Models for data science: prompt engineering and fine-tune foundational models for specific tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain difficult technical topics
- Strong programming skills, including SQL and Python for data processing and development
- M.S in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Operations Research or related areas
