AIML - Staff Machine Learning Engineer - ML Efficiency, ML Platform & Technology

Apple's Machine Learning Platform Technology & Infra team is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to shape the platform that enables the next generation of intelligent experiences on Apple products & services. The team has built the platform that Apple uses for developing machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision applications.

In this role, you will focus on optimizing end-to-end system performance of distributed machine learning workloads. Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with ML researchers to optimize large-scale distributed ML workload performance
• Analyzing workload metrics to identify inefficiencies
• Conducting workload analysis through benchmarking
• Improving training resiliency through optimization
• Influencing next-generation ML accelerator systems architecture

The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of machine learning systems and cloud computing infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative role working with key partners across Apple. You'll be part of a diverse team with backgrounds ranging from ML PhDs to builders of large-scale production systems.
