Description For Analog Mixed Signal IP Integration Engineer

Apple is seeking an Analog Mixed Signal IP Integration Engineer for a highly visible role supporting the integration of 3rd party IP in Apple's SOCs. This position involves ensuring IP deliverables meet Apple's high quality standards and achieve flawless integration. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams within Apple and external vendors, with occasional travel requirements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and specifying deliverable requirements for vendor-provided IP, leading vendor discussions on requirements and methodologies, reviewing IP quality, and supporting SOC design teams. This position requires extensive experience in hardware design and verification, with deep knowledge of front-end tools and SOC design flows.

Key technical requirements include experience with RTL design, verification, and integration, proficiency in hardware description languages like Verilog and SystemVerilog, and familiarity with industry standards such as PCI Express, MIPI, USB, and DisplayPort. The role demands excellent communication skills and strong project ownership.

Responsibilities For Analog Mixed Signal IP Integration Engineer

  • Define and specify deliverable requirements for IP provided by external vendors
  • Drive discussions with vendors regarding requirements, design and verification methodology
  • Review IP quality on incoming deliverables
  • Provide support to Apple SOC front-end and back-end design teams for integrating the IP

Requirements For Analog Mixed Signal IP Integration Engineer

  • BSEE/MSEE and 7+ years industry related experience
  • Experience in RTL design, verification or integration
  • Deep knowledge of front-end tools (simulation, synthesis, lint, logic equivalence, static timing analysis, CDC, RDC, UPF)
  • Familiarity with SOC design flow and verification methodologies
  • Good understanding of DFT requirements for SOCs
  • Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, SVA hardware description languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities
