Description For iPhone Hardware Test Engineer

As an iPhone Hardware Test Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for the electrical and functional testing of iPhone Main Logic boards. Your role involves designing and specifying custom test hardware and software for Apple's sophisticated embedded systems that optimize for space efficiency, energy consumption, reliability, scalability, and cost. You will work closely with the iPhone Hardware Engineering team to influence design for testability and develop innovative testing methods. This position uniquely combines hardware and software expertise, requiring creativity in finding better ways to accomplish tasks. You will collaborate with 3rd party test vendor partners, system engineers, and factory teams to develop and implement new tests for every new feature added to the iPhone. Strong time management and project management skills are essential for this role, which also involves travel to the US or China.

Requirements For iPhone Hardware Test Engineer

Python
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering
  • Experience in crafting embedded micro-controller systems, analog instrumentation, and DC power supplies
  • Understand best practices for test setups based on requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with frequent collaboration with local factories and US teams required
  • This position requires travel to US or China
