Platform Engineer - Security

As a Platform Engineer in the PA-Security group, you'll join a dedicated team of engineers focused on securing the world's most advanced consumer devices.

In this role, you'll work on identifying and defining platform-level security requirements for new products, maintaining device-level security policies, and driving the adoption of platform-level security architectures. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle, working with software, hardware, silicon, server, and product groups to design and implement security solutions that enhance the overall security profile of Apple's SOCs, devices, and factories.

Key responsibilities include developing threat models and security architectures, creating detailed system-level specifications, driving security requirements into custom silicon design, and staying ahead of emerging threats in the industry. You'll need strong technical expertise in cryptography, system design, and security principles, combined with excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams.

The position offers competitive compensation including base pay between $181,100 and $272,100, plus equity opportunities through stock programs. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an MS or PhD degree.
