Job Description

Apple's Camera Systems Engineering Group is seeking an exceptional Position Sensing Systems Engineer to join their team in Cupertino. This role is part of the team responsible for systems-level analysis, design, and development of new camera features and technologies for performance enhancement in Apple products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with expertise in sensing systems. You'll be working on innovative technology that enables Apple's products to produce increasingly impressive photographic capabilities. The role involves collaboration across multiple teams at Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware.

Key responsibilities include defining system architectures, modeling sensing systems, performing validation, and contributing to test and calibration codebases. The position requires both technical depth in areas like analog/digital electronics and signal processing, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.

The compensation package includes a competitive base salary range of $181,100 to $318,400, plus additional benefits like stock options, comprehensive healthcare, retirement benefits, and education reimbursement. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that impacts millions of users while being part of Apple's innovative culture.

The role requires a minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a PhD preferred. You should have strong skills in sensing systems, electrical engineering fundamentals, and experience with tools like MATLAB or Python for behavioral modeling. Experience with statistical analysis, magneto-static simulations, and camera systems is a plus.
