Job Description

Apple's wireless SOC organization is seeking an experienced RFIC Layout Engineer to join their world-class team responsible for wireless silicon development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of wireless technology and product performance.

As part of the Hardware team, you'll be working on sophisticated projects that directly impact Apple's product lineup, focusing on highly energy efficient design and new technologies. The position involves detailed transistor-level layout of RF and analog circuit blocks, including critical components like LNA, mixers, PLL, and power amplifiers.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of relevant industry experience, with deep expertise in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers and extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technology. You'll be working with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, collaborating with multi-functional teams across Apple's product development groups.

This role offers competitive compensation, including a base pay range of $90,896 to $161,512 annually, plus additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive medical coverage, and education reimbursement. Responsibilities For RFIC Layout Engineer

  • Detailed transistor-level layout of RF and analog circuit blocks
  • Block level and top-level layout through full verification flow
  • Co-work with designers on block level and top-level floorplanning
  • Layout review for power/gnd routing, electromigration, signal path check
  • Top-level layout integration and verification, schedule management

Requirements For RFIC Layout Engineer

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Good understanding of RC delay, electromigration, and coupling
  • Experience in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers
  • Knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS (16nm and lower with FinFet experience)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional teams
