Job Description

Join Apple's growing wireless silicon development team as a SoC Integration Engineer. This role is part of our wireless SOC organization responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development. We focus on highly energy-efficient design and new technologies that transform the user experience at the product level.

As a SoC Integration Design Engineer, you will:

  • Work in a team developing Wireless SoCs with custom hardware accelerators and multiple ARM-based sub-systems
  • Integrate industry standard and custom hardware IP into SoCs
  • Collaborate with SoC architects and IP developers to meet Apple devices' power, performance, and area goals
  • Define processes, methods, and tools for designing and implementing large complex SoCs
  • Develop and maintain methodology and flow checks
  • Interact with verification teams to ensure validation and coverage goals
  • Implement security requirements accurately
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality designs on time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage chip-level design infrastructure
  • Evaluate and integrate standard hardware IPs
  • Review architecture and design of custom IPs
  • Design interface logic and top-level netlists
  • Implement methodologies for I/O, DFT, debug, clocking and power
  • Handle feasibility, micro-architecture, RTL design, front-end implementation
  • Support post-silicon system bring-up
  • Own Integration Spec for design projects
  • Provide technical leadership through mentorship and teamwork

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Detailed knowledge of ASIC design flow
  • Experience in complex ASIC design and IP integration
  • Successful tape-outs of complex SoCs
  • Proficiency in design methodologies and EDA tools
  • Expert knowledge of ASIC design flow and netlist checks
  • Understanding of multi-clock designs and power management
