Software Engineer (Desktop Support Engineer), IS&T Enterprise Systems

The AMR IS&T team at Apple is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to partner with Apple's 3rd Party Logistics providers and ensure effective desktop systems and IT infrastructure support. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen, focusing on supporting Apple IT infrastructure deployments in third-party logistics centers.

The position requires a professional who can maintain strong awareness of processes and systems used by AMR Logistics business units, with emphasis on warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in learning new technologies, problem-solving, trend analysis, and improving business efficiency.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will:

• Manage MDM systems and enterprise environment administration across North and South America
• Work with tools like Jamf and Apple Remote Desktop
• Create and maintain deployment policies
• Support new site deployments and existing warehouse locations
• Conduct regular system health checks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Lead technical projects from start to finish

Required qualifications include 5 years of IT support experience with Linux/UNIX/macOS platforms, extensive MDM system management experience, and Jamf certification. The role involves some travel and occasional work during non-standard hours.
