WiFi MAC Systems Engineer

This role sits at the heart of our silicon design efforts, focusing on wireless systems design for innovative SoC products. You'll be responsible for creating algorithms and architectures for wireless communication systems, with a particular emphasis on MAC layer optimization and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and simulate wireless communication systems for high data rate applications
• Analyze and enhance MAC layer protocols for optimal throughput and latency
• Implement and validate MAC system models and algorithms
• Work closely with PHY system teams and cross-functional groups
• Collaborate with firmware designers on efficient software implementation
• Conduct hands-on testing and optimization of silicon in the lab
• Document design processes and performance outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Deep expertise in wireless communications systems
• Strong understanding of WiFi MAC layer protocols and algorithms

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in EE or Computer Engineering
• Experience with modem and microprocessor architecture
• Hands-on lab testing and characterization experience
• Knowledge of wireless protocols (WiFi, 5G, Bluetooth)
• Programming skills in Python and C/C++
• Experience with network simulators and lab equipment
