Description For Wireless Power Architect

Apple is seeking a Wireless Power Architect to join their prestigious engineering team in Cupertino. Responsibilities For Wireless Power Architect

  • Analyze, define and track power targets for wireless power sub systems
  • Develop and document system architecture for wireless power management
  • Write requirements, specifications, and test plans for hardware and FW
  • Define factory tests and work with factory for failure analysis
  • Guide team in development of algorithms and state-transition diagrams
  • Interface with cellular chipset vendors
  • Optimize power delivery trade-offs
  • Conduct feasibility studies
  • Work on wireless power charger system architecture and verification

Requirements For Wireless Power Architect

Linux
  • Experience in Power & Magnetics (Electromagnets, Motors, Transformers)
  • Experience in Power electronics circuit simulation and modeling
  • Experience with Electromagnetic simulations and modeling
  • Familiar with Power converter topologies
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging
  • Experience with high frequency transformer theory and modeling
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with common lab equipment and measurement techniques
  • BS and minimum 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills
