Apple's Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) team is seeking a talented Wireless Software Development Engineer to join their world-class engineering team. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge wireless cellular technologies for Apple's diverse product lineup including iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless devices.

The position involves working with multi-functional teams to drive innovation and develop products used by millions worldwide. As part of the Wireless Software Architecture team, you'll be responsible for identifying and developing core wireless technologies that solve everyday problems for customers. The team takes pride in not just creating proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem.

You'll work across various layers of cellular protocol software and iOS interfaces, with the flexibility to tackle different aspects of wireless technology development. The role requires strong expertise in cellular technologies and a passion for groundbreaking innovation. Your work will directly impact iPhone user experience in over 100 countries.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C/C++, Objective C, and Swift, along with experience in framework-level development and multi-threaded environments. Knowledge of 3GPP specifications for 5G NR / LTE and experience with embedded systems are highly valued.

Requirements For Wireless Software Development Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in developing network protocol stacks or radio interface layer
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Objective C, Swift
  • Strong architectural knowledge and experience in framework-level development
  • Experience with writing software involving user space, kernel space interaction
  • Proven experience in writing software for multi-threaded environments and OS layer optimization for framework
