Description For Software Engineer - Security

Applied Intuition, a leading vehicle intelligence company, is seeking a Security Software Engineer to join their team in München, Germany. This role is crucial in building and maintaining secure platforms for autonomy development, particularly focusing on authentication and access management systems.

The company, founded in 2017, has established itself as a trusted partner for 18 of the top 20 global automakers and major Department of Defense programs. Applied Intuition's mission centers on accelerating the adoption of safe, AI-driven machines through their comprehensive suite of tools including Vehicle OS and autonomy stacks.

As a Security Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of implementing robust security measures across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises environments. Your responsibilities will include designing authentication systems, managing identity and access controls, and ensuring the platform maintains the highest security standards. You'll work directly with customers to understand and implement their security requirements while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

The role requires a strong technical foundation with at least 2 years of experience in languages like Golang, Python, Java, or C++, and significant experience with cloud infrastructure. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in building complex backend systems and have a proven track record of driving development from concept to production.

The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll have significant ownership over technical decisions and direct interaction with users and customers. While the company maintains an in-office culture with expectations of working from the office 5 days a week, they offer flexibility for occasional remote work and accommodate personal schedules when needed.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about security engineering, enjoys working on complex systems, and wants to contribute to the future of autonomous vehicles and AI-driven machines. You'll be joining a company that values technical excellence, customer collaboration, and innovative problem-solving in the rapidly evolving field of vehicle intelligence.
