Job Description

Aptiv, a global leader in automotive technology, is expanding its footprint in Monterrey within Advanced Safety and User Experience Engineering. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be part of developing innovative solutions that make transportation safer, greener, and more connected. The role focuses on designing, developing, and validating advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Compute and Security, and User Experience products following Automotive SPICE processes.

You'll work on real-time embedded systems, developing software for active safety and body control production projects. The position involves close collaboration with component teams, handling diagnostics design, power moding, and Autosar stack configuration. You'll be responsible for comprehensive testing including static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing on hardware platforms.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of automotive or consumer electronics experience, strong embedded C programming skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Develop software for active safety or body control production projects
  • Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems
  • Work closely with component teams on interfaces and dependencies
  • Triage issues reported from stakeholders
  • Design and implement internal and customer diagnostics SW
  • Handle power moding, HWIO, Autosar stack configuration
  • Perform static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety processes

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and positive approach to challenges
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Familiar with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
